Bands at Banksia Park Primary School

  Banksia Park Primary School has developed a very successful and well respected Band Programme over many years.  There are many instruments with a combination of private and School of Instrumental Music tutors assisting students in small groups. 
 
  The instruments available are:
     flute,
     clarinet,
     alto saxophone,
     tenor saxophone,
     trumpet,
     trombone,
     bass guitar and
     percussion.

There are no auditions held for positions in this prestigious program and all students from Years 5, 6 and 7 are very welcome to be involved.  However, student must commit to ongoing practice of their instrument and involvement at all Band activities including sessions before school.

The Band Programme runs smoothly due to a well organised Band Committee under the direction of our Music Teacher, Mrs Ann Clarke.  The Band Committee organises weekend workshops, instrumental workshops, a Bi-annual regional tour as well as numerous performances during each school term. 

The many performance opportunities available ensure that students are able to perform to a very high standard each year.
